Here are the five most disappointing performances thus far, at the 2011 US Open. 5. Lee Westwood Lee Westwood was dominated by the front nine, and his back nine performance didn't help him escape a +4 score to close out the first round.
4. Martin Kaymer Martin Kaymer is one of the few players in the tournament to birdie the notorious tenth hole. It remains one of the lone bright spots on his +3 day.
3. Phil Mickelson Happy birthday Phil Mickelson. Mickelson's score doesn't reflect how poorly he has played. He's played a miserable round of golf, and isn't in a position to bring home his first US Open Trophy.
2. Luke Donald Luke Donald is currently the number one player in the world, and is in search of his first major. After bogeying four holes in the back nine and double bogeying the 10th hole, Donald is virtually out of contention. 1. Dustin Johnson Dustin Johnson finishes his day at +4, but he's playing much worse than his score indicates. A triple bogey on the 11th hole has driven him out of contention, and out of relevancy entirely.
