NBA Report: Jay Triano Will Not Be the Toronto Raptors Head Coach Next Season

Wow, huge news. Doug Smith has tweeted that Jay Triano will not be the Raptors head coach any more.

Bryan Colangelo did not pick up Triano's option as the head coach.

However, there are reports that Triano will be back as a consultant/special assistant to president/GM.

This is the right move. As I said earlier, Triano isn't the ideal head coach, but still should be retained by the club.

Bryan Colangelo has made the right move. There are plenty of solid coaches out there, and getting the right one will be the key for the Raptors.
