The shortest player eligible to be drafted has absolutely no relation to the more famous ex-Detroit Piston, Isiah Thomas. In fact, this Thomas’ father named him Isaiah after losing a bet that he placed against Zeke’s Pistons. At just 5’10”, the point guard with one of the best vertical leaps in this draft class improved quite a bit and helped lead the Washington Huskies’ high-scoring offense. Thomas managed to average 16.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game during his final season on the west coast, at least at the collegiate level. Thomas has great speed and ball-handling skills and those will undoubtedly help make up for his rather diminutive size. He’s also as good a defender as you could hope for him to be while giving up so many inches to the opposition. He now becomes Mr. Irrelevant and will play out his career with a massive chip on his shoulder.
