Lenny Dykstra Hopeful that Hollywood Producer Comes Through With Bail Lenny Dykstra lived the dreams of every little boy when he stepped foot onto a major league ball field. He made millions, and the squandered it all away. In retirement, he has pilfered and milked from every friend he has left. He has duped would-be investors and now finds himself in jail, awaiting trial. Yet, there are still those that think he deserves a second chance. Dykstra was charged with nearly two dozen federal counts recently. Among them, Dykstra faces grand theft auto and drug charges. MUST READ: The 100 Sexiest Sports Movie Babes of All-Time His bail is currently set at $500,000. He is hoping to have someone come to his aid for the 10% needed to bust him from jail until the trial begins. He has gone to the usual suspects, including friend Charlie Sheen. TMZ reports that Sheen has since shunned Dykstra and his assistant's request for a handout. The site now reports that Dykstra may have a white knight after all. Hollywood producer, Jonathan Heap, is willing to step up to the plate for Dykstra. His reasoning is that "everyone deserves a second chance." That is all well and good, but by my count, Dykstra has received a bevy of chances. He has squandered every last amount of trust he has been given. Why throw away $50,000? I am not about to tell Heap how to spend his money, but let me take a second to tell Heap how to spend his money. Give to a charity. Hell, give it to me. Dykstra will get out of the clink and go right back to begging for money. That's what he has been doing since he retired anyway.
