Four Night ‘Harry Potter’ Marathon Leading Up To ‘Deathly Hallows Part 2′
Wednesday, 22 June 2011

Tickets for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 have been on sale for a few days but true fans were waiting for this moment. AMC has announced that not only will they host back to back screenings of Part 1 and Part 2 on opening night, select theaters will host a four night event of all eight films culminating at midnight July 15 with the highly anticipated epic conclusion. Find out if your theater made the cut after the jump. Tickets for the back to back screenings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 will go on sale at 288 AMC locations next week. They'll be $20 and Part 2 will be in 3D. As for the four night event, it's only happening at 35 locations. You can see the list of those by visiting: www.amctheatres.com/harrypotter [1]. Tickets are $45 for the whole thing, which is insane, and includes a lanyard that'll act as your ticket and a collectible booklet. This sounds like an event Harry Potter fans are not going to want to miss. Here's the schedule: Monday, July 11 6 p.m. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone 8:45 p.m. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Tuesday, July 12 6 p.m. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 8:45 p.m. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Wednesday, July 13 6 p.m. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 8:45 p.m. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Thursday, July 14 9 p.m. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part I 12:01 a.m. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part II So what do you think? Will you go for the double dip or the whole eight pack? If I hadn't watched 5, 6 and 7 Part 1 when that came out I'd probably go for the full thing but, as of right now, I'm leaning towards just the back to back. On the other hand, this is probably the only time in history you'll be able to see eight movies, on the big screen, telling one story with the same cast totally intact. It's kind of historic.
