2012 NFL Mock Draft Says New York Jets Take Chase Minnifield in NFL Draft Chase Minnifield burst onto the scene this year while Ras-I Dowling was injured. He looks ordinary, but he's anything but. The Cavalier doesn't have the desired bulk, but he's got speed and playmaking skills to cover up for it. He currently carries a fringe first round grade, but with a big year in the ACC should be a sure fire first rounder. Must Read: Best Pac-12 Quarterbacks The New York Jets can never have too many players in that secondary and the potential loss of Antonio Cromartie will weigh heavily on this team in 2011. Their offense could be looking at the wide receiver position depending on free agency, heck, they've got a ton of free agents to worry about overall. New York has a small window for success that could be closing at the end of this year for all we know. By the time the 2012 draft rolls around, they could be champions, or they could be starting over at certain positions. 1. Washington: Andrew Luck, QB, Stan. 2. Carolina: Quinton Coples, DE, UNC 3.
