2011 US Open Golf Showcases Rory McIlroy's Flawless Swing Some speculate Rory McIlroy may have the best swing of all-time. We may be getting ahead of ourselves in saying that his swing is better than any golfer in the history of the sport, which has been around since the 15th century. Even so, the technically sound and effortless looking swing seems to be the catalyst behind McIlroy's outstanding performance. His perfectly straight left wrist and superb balance throughout his swing make for outstanding accuracy. It is his accuracy off the tee that has given him an ideal lie for his second shot at Congressional. He has the mechanics of his swing, to thank for that. His smooth swing also produces fantastic club speed. His accuracy off the tee doesn't take away from his raw power.
