BYU star Jimmer Fredette led the nation in scoring this season, and is projected as a lottery pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft. The Utah Jazz hold the twelfth pick in the draft, and may take Fredette with that choice. Jazz fans fell in love with Fredette this season from his play at BYU, Utah’s best collegiate basketball program. The fans have been urging their team to take the local kid, and they may get their wish. Fredette is a top five point guard in this year’s draft class, and is a great scorer. Utah needs a point guard and a legitimate scorer, and Fredette can satisfy both those roles. The Jazz also pick at number three overall, and that selection may predict if they will choose Jimmer or not on draft night.
