2011 NBA Mock Draft Will Be Jazz' Time for Re-Birth
Somebody wake Jerry Sloan from his nap. The Jazz may just need him yet. This is no slight to Tyrone Corbin, but the old style point guard Utah's legendary head coach loved is poised to return.
The Jazz were scorned by a fallout of unprecedented proportions for the proud franchise. Their star point guard had beef with their coach, and the ensuing coup saw them both leave town for good.
A few months after Sloan retired, Derron Williams is in a Nets uniform, and the Jazz are missing a premier guard, something they pride themselves in having.
Welcome to the 2011 NBA draft Jazz fans. The perfect fit for your team and style of play is on his way. The way I, and many other basketball minds, have this slotted with the Jazz landing Brandon Knight with the third overall pick.
Knight will flourish in Utah, and their fans will love this selection. Knight is a big guard whose only negative he can work on.
He may lack a consistent shot, but that will come in due time. What I really love about him is his defense and basketball mind.
He is a great slasher that will find teammates laying in the wings. He can step up and defend most starting point guards in the Association tomorrow.
More than anything, he is driven. The Jazz feed off such players that dismiss self for team, Brandon Knight is that player.
I can't say that he will be a superstar, but I do know the Jazz will be better for selecting him to their backcourt. You can't ask for much more in a draft selection.
