Markieff Morris Selected No. 21 Overall in 2011 NBA Mock Draft It isn’t easy being Markieff Morris. For several months now, you have been told that you are slightly worse than your brother. It has to weigh on his mind. The Blazers are getting more than a player with bright lights of the NBA in his sights. They are getting a prospect with a big fat chip on his shoulders. If you don’t think that these two haven’t been trash talking ahead of the draft, you don’t know siblings. MUST READ: 2011 NBA Mock Draft: Projecting All 1st and 2nd Round Picks More than that, the Blazers get a big man that will run their system to perfection. He is a stout forward that can run and defend. Portland likes to get active with the ball, and Morris has the energy, if not the ball handling. His hard hands may be the only downside here. This is a team that can stand to bring on their drafted talent slowly. They have been doing the same in a forced manner with Greg Oden. If they can wait for that guy to get healthy, they can surely sit back and see what develops out of Morris. —Gabe Zaldivar For more 2011 NBA Draft coverage, stay tuned to Bleacher Report for updated NBA mock drafts, B/R's Big Board of Recruits, NBA Draft rumors, NBA Draft results and draft grades. 1.
